What You’ll Need
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup honey
- 2 cups quick oatmeal
What To Do
At home, combine the peanut butter and honey in a medium saucepan and warm over low heat. Stir constantly until mixed thoroughly. Then remove from heat and add in the oatmeal and any optional items you might want to help “spruce up” the bars.
From there, you’re going to press it into a 9 x 9 inch ungreased pan and let it cool. Cut the bars and store in plastic baggies. You don’t have to refrigerate and these high protein bars are delicious and great for the trail.
Note: While these taste great, they are pretty messy, especially if it’s warm.
