Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of nutrients and make great snacks for the trail or the camp.
What You’ll Need
- 1 large sweet potato
- 2 tsp of oil
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- Garlic powdered
- Cayenne pepper
What To Do
In a large bowl, mix all of the above ingredients, except for the potato. Cut the potato into even slices and throw them into the bowl. Toss the potato slices with the seasonings.
Once fully coated, place the slices on a cookie tray and pop in the oven. Bake 40 minutes at 300F and make sure to keep an eye on them so they don’t get over cooked.
Once cooled, place in a zip lock bag or air tight container to enjoy on your trip.
